Click this link to visit our virtual whiteboard, called Enhance your Experience, in which you can suggest improvements and comment on some of our proposed initiatives, policies, procedures, and guidelines.  For example, you might want to comment on some of these proposed adjustments to our policies and procedures:

  • members of your supervision panel who are subject matter experts, end users, cultural advisors, or external supervisors, will be referred to as advisors rather than associate supervisors--to avoid confusion with co-supervisors

  • the research proposal review must be completed within 9 months for doctoral candidates and 6 months for Masters candidates; otherwise, candidates may not be granted enough time to complete by the due date.  However, candidates will receive more templates and other resources to help these individuals achieve this deadline

  • candidates need to complete a presentation mid candidature and within a few months of submission--although a presentation at a conference or lab meeting is sufficient; the benefit is that candidates can receive more feedback at critical junctures

  • academics can be a principal supervisor of no more than 6 candidates, besides exceptional circumstances, to guarantee they can proactively support these candidates when needed

  • supervisors only need to nominate two examiners rather than four examiners--to preclude the need to organise, but never utilise the services, of two other examiners.
